Adipurush Ending Explained & Spoilers: How Did Kriti Sanon’s Movie End?

Adipurush, a 2023 Indian mythological action film, is a grand cinematic retelling of the ancient Hindu epic Ramayana. Adipurush is directed and co-written by Om Raut and produced by the collaborative efforts of T-Series Films and Retrophiles. This visually stunning film was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu.

It boasts a star-studded cast, including Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Devdutta Nage. Each actor brought their characters to life with remarkable performances. The plot is set thousands of years ago and features divine beings, mighty warriors, and intense conflicts between good and evil.

What was Lankesh’s boon?

Set in a time of deities and demons, the film opens with the formidable rakshasa king of Lanka, Lankesh. Lankesh secures a boon from Brahma, rendering him invincible to gods or demons, irrespective of day or night. This sets the stage for the central conflict of the story. Meanwhile, in the kingdom of Ayodhya, the virtuous Prince Raghava is exiled for 14 years to fulfill his father, King Dashratha’s promise to his stepmother, Kaikeyi. Accompanied by his wife, Janaki, and his devoted brother, Shesh, Raghava ventures into the dense, uncharted forests of Panchavati.

The story escalates when Lankesh’s sister, the rakshasi Shurpanakha, enamored by Raghava, attempts to seduce him and harm Janaki. Her failure and subsequent disfigurement at Raghava’s hands provoke Lankesh to seek vengeance. He devises a cunning yet successful plan to abduct Janaki, having heard of her unparalleled beauty from Shurpanakha. Raghava, upon Janaki’s abduction, vows to rescue her. Thus, he embarks on a perilous journey that leads him to form alliances with several key characters.

Why did Bajrang set Lanka on fire?

Raghava’s quest to rescue Janaki leads to him allying with the Vanara king, Sugriva. Along with him, Raghava also meets his aides, Jambavan, Angad, and the mighty Bajrang. Bajrang, an ardent devotee of Raghava, travels to Lanka to reassure Janaki. So, he flies to Lankesh to inform Janaki about Raghav’s arrival. However, Indrajit captures him and sets Bajrang’s tail on fire. In the process, Bajrang lights up a portion of Lanka on fire and returns home.

Meanwhile, Raghava, with the assistance of Varuna, the Lord of the sky, oceans, and seas, builds a bridge across the sea to Lanka. This act of divine engineering symbolizes the crossing of not just physical distances but also the overcoming of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

The film’s narrative complexity deepens with the introduction of Vibhishana, Lankesh’s brother. Disagreeing with Lankesh’s actions, Vibhishana joins Raghava’s forces, adding a new dimension to the conflict. The battle strategies employed by Raghava and his allies are crucial to the storyline, particularly as they prepare for the final confrontation with Lankesh.

Adipurush ending: Was Raghava able to save Janaki?

The climax of the film is marked by intense battle sequences. The vanarasena, initially at a disadvantage against Lankesh’s advanced weaponry, is galvanized by Raghava’s tactics. The film portrays Shesh’s valor in his duel with Indrajit, resulting in a pivotal victory for Raghava’s army. The awakening and subsequent defeat of Kumbhakarna at the hands of Raghava and Shesh, despite the odds, is another highlight of the film.

The final battle, a high-stakes confrontation between Raghava and Lankesh, is the culmination of the epic. Raghava, realizing the loophole in Lankesh’s boon, engages him in a duel at twilight, a moment neither day nor night, exploiting the only weakness of the otherwise invincible Lankesh. The film’s portrayal of this ultimate battle is both intense and emotionally charged, showcasing the themes of bravery, strategy, and righteousness.
