Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise became one of the biggest hits of 2021 in Indian cinema. The film served as one of the most beloved flicks of the year and entertained the audience thoroughly. Rashmika Mandanna played the leading lady in the film, while Fahadh Faasil portrayed the lead antagonist. As it has been over two years since the first film’s release, all eyes are now on its sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Rashmika Mandanna was last seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. The actress has a number of upcoming movies on her roster. Since she was recently seen working on Pushpa 2, the actress gave some insights about the film. She also promised that the movie will be a bigger one.
Rashmika Mandanna shares an update on Pushpa 2: ‘It’s going to be so much bigger’
Rashmika Mandanna recently interacted with Pinkvilla and spilled beans about Pushpa 2. The actress mentioned how the first installment was highly successful, further adding that the second one would also serve the same. She said, “It’s like, I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is gonna be so much bigger and because we have given some madness with Pushpa 1 as we have, Pushpa 2 is all the way more.”
The Animal actress revealed that the makers are aware of the film franchise’s reputation and are working toward it. She stated, “We have a lot more responsibility but at the same time we know that people are more very conscious of what they expect of the film and we are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that.”
Rashmika Mandanna also revealed that she has already shot a song for the film, saying, “I also just came out of a song I was shooting for Pushpa 2 and I was just like how are you guys just thinking about this.” She added that everyone working on the film is doing their best. Moreover, they are enjoying the process of making the movie. As a result, it would be interesting to know how Pushpa 2 creates an impact at the box office.
Pushpa 2 will hit the theaters on August 15, 2024. Sukumar is helming the project, with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings producing it.
