Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki Fees: How Much Did He Get Paid?

Shah Rukh Khan‘s latest movie, Dunki, has been making waves at the box office with a total collection of over $48 million worldwide. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, and Vishnu Kaushal, among others. The premise of the movie revolves around a group of friends who use a backdoor process, called donkey flight, to move to another country and then struggle to return home.

Red Chillies Entertainment, Jio Studios, and Rajkumar Hirani Films produced Dunki. It had its release on December 21, 2023. After the movie’s release, reports revealed the details of how much the actors were paid to star in this Rajkumar Hirani directorial.

Dunki: Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, and Vicky Kaushal fees revealed

As per reports, Shah Rukh Khan will receive $3.3 million (approx.) for his role in Dunki. Interestingly, the actor had charged $12 million for his previous blockbuster hits, Pathaan and Jawan.

Dunki also marks the first collaboration between Taapsee Pannu and Shah Rukh Khan. The actress has charged $1.3 million (approx.) for the movie. She plays the role of Hardy’s love interest, Manu Randhawa.

Although Vicky Kaushal had a special appearance in Dunki, the actor charged around $1.4 million (approx.) for the role. The movie marked his second collaboration with the director after Sanju (2018). Apart from the lead actors, Boman Irani and Satish Shah charged $1.8 million (approx.) and $840 thousand (approx.), respectively.

In a recent interview, director Rajkumar Hirani expressed his excitement over working with Shah Rukh Khan. He said, “I was enamoured by his charm. I would put on an eye mask and earplugs when he was giving a shot. Once he finished, my assistant would tell me, ‘Sir, shot khatam ho gaya hai,’ and then I would open my eyes (laughs). Jokes apart, he is an amazing actor and an even better person.”
