Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur Fees: How Much Did He Get Paid?

Vicky Kaushal‘s highly anticipated film, Sam Bahadur, hit the theatres last weekend. This biographical war drama film has been doing well at the box office despite its clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.

Meghna Gulzar directed the film and Ronnie Screwvala produced it under the banner of RSVP Movies. It stars Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, among others. The film sets its premise against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. It centers around Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, who led the Indian Army during the war of 1971, which resulted in the creation of Bangladesh. 

After the film’s release, reports revealed the fees paid to the actors for starring in this biopic.

Sam Bahadur movie: Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra fees revealed

As per a report, Vicky Kaushal, who portrayed the iconic role of Sam Manekshaw, received a notable amount of $1.1 million (approx.) as his fee. Meanwhile, Sanya Malhotra, who played the character of Sam’s wife, Silloo Manekshaw, earned an impressive $119 thousand (approx.) for her role in the film. This fee is significantly less as she received $359 thousand for her last film, Jawan.

Fatima Sana Shaikh, portraying the demanding role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, earned $119 thousand (approx.) for her convincing performance. Neeraj Kabi, portraying India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, reportedly received an estimated amount of $35 thousand (approx.) for his significant role.

Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, portraying the role of Yahya Khan, earned $17 thousand (approx.) for his role in Sam Bahadur. And, Edward Sonnenblick, who played the role of Lord Mountbatten, received $35 thousand (approx.) for his contribution. 

Meghna Gulzar, Bhavani Iyer, and Shantanu Srivastava co-wrote this biographical war drama. The film sheds light on Sam Bahadur’s life and career, which spanned over four decades and five wars.
