Richa Chadha‘s comedy film, Fukrey 3, has been breaking records and minting money at the box office since its release. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the comedy film is the third installment in the Fukrey franchise and a sequel to Fukrey Returns (2017). Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani produced the film under the banner Excel Entertainment.
Talking about the success of Fukrey 3, Richa Chadha expressed her gratitude and love for comedy films. She said, “I feel really good with the response to the film. We have been associated with this franchise for the last 10 years. The film is very special. When we were making the first part, we always knew that the film would be able to make people laugh but we never knew that we would reach the third installment of the film.”
The actress even hinted at a possible Fukrey 4 to add to the franchise. She said, “If the film will continue to get this type of love, surely we would be interviewing for Fukrey 4 also. I only want the gap between Fukrey 3 and 4 to not be more.”
Fukrey 3 now streaming on OTT Amazon Prime
Fukrey 3 hit the big screen on September 28, 2023, and after just a few weeks, it is now available to stream on OTT. The film debuted on Amazon Prime Video on November 9, 2023, but is available only with the rental option at the moment.
Amazon Prime Video made the Richa Chadha-starrer available for streaming to subscribers for a price of Rs 349 (USD 4.19), after which viewers can watch the film for 48 hours. The platform is expected to make the free version of the film available shortly.
Fukrey 3 has an ensemble cast of Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Pankaj Tripathi, Manu Rishi Chadha, and Amit Dhawan. It follows the events of the previous film, where the Government of Delhi provides Hunny, Choocha, and Lali with a store named Janta Store. The three run the store together alongside Pandit, but end up in shambles and are getting by doing small jobs.
