IFC Acquires Dementia, from Contracted Producers

Gene Jones, magnetic in Ti West’s Jonestown-influenced The Sacrament, stars in Dementia, about an elderly man diagnosed with the titular condition at the mercy of a new nurse. IFC Midnight has picked up the title for U.S. release, having previously teamed with the film’s producers on STD horror, Contracted.

Mike Testin (cinematographer, Contracted) directed Dementia from a script by Meredith Berg. Jones stars alongside Kristina Klebe (Tales of Halloween), Marc Senter (The Lost) and Graham Skipper (Almost Human, Re-Animator: The Musical). In the film, “After being diagnosed with Dementia, an elderly war veteran is forced by his estranged family to hire a live-in nurse, only to find that she harbors a sinister secret.”

Boulderlight Pictures produces. No date just yet.
