Lena Dunham Joins American Horror Story 7

Creator Ryan Murphy has revealed on Twitter that Girls star Lena Dunham has joined the cast of American Horror Story 7. Check out the tweet below!

Dunham will be joining Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Alison Pill, Colton Haynes and Adina Porter in the seventh installment. Ryan Murphy also previously revealed that Twisty the Clown will return for American Horror Story 7.

In related news, FX Networks announced today that fans can begin the journey to American Horror Story 7 at a special stunt on Thursday night at San Diego Comic-Con. This first step, which will open the door to all future reveals ahead of this fall’s premiere of AHS’s seventh installment, will take place at 9:15 PM PT at the water’s edge adjacent to the “FXHibition” space at the Hilton Bayfront Park.

The Emmy, Golden Globe and AFI Award-winning series from co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk will return this fall to FX. The sixth installment, American Horror Story: Roanoke, recently received four Emmy Award nominations in the hairstyling, makeup and sound editing categories. The American Horror Story franchise is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television.

Back in February, creator and producer Ryan Murphy revealed the theme during a guest spot on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. He told Cohen,”Well, I don’t have a title, but the season we begin shooting in June is going to be about the election that we just went through. So, I think that will be interesting for a lot of people.” Cohen asked if there would “be, like a Trump in it,” Murphy responded, “Uh, maybe.” The first episode will reportedly take place on election night.

American Horror Story was renewed for two more seasons back in January. How do you feel about Lena Dunham joining the cast? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
