Toronto’s Lost Episode Film Fest Offers a Wealth of Amazing Horror

Toronto horror and cult film fest returns for a 4th go-around.

Toronto’s fledgling fright film fest LEFT (Lost Episode Fest Toronto) will let loose the lineup for its 4th annual go-around on August 5th – 7th at the historic Carlton Cinema.
And what a lineup it is; 10 acclaimed feature films, all of which are making either their Toronto, Canadian or International theatrical premieres.
Among the highlights are:
“2016’s MOST WTF FILM” according to The Daily Beast, this practical effects disco obsessed creature comedy left
Sundance audiences in shock and awe, and had critics calling it a “playful oasis of filth and depravity” (The
Guardian); “an exercise in juvenile scatology that’s almost awesomely pure in its determination to annoy.” (Variety);
“Disgusting, deviant and pleasurably weird at heart” (Indiewire).

“The feminist horror film that scared Sundance silly” (The Guardian). As a mother and daughter struggle to cope with
the terrors of the post-revolution, war torn Tehran of the 80s, a mysterious evil begins to haunt their home.

Starring Lance Henriksen (ALIENS) and Johnny Strong (THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS). Years after a mysterious
plague has devastated the planet and turned most of humanity into blood-hungry creatures, a rogue drifter on a
vengeful hunt stumbles across a band of survivors in an abandoned police station and reluctantly agrees to try to help
them defend themselves and escape to the sanctuary they so desperately need.

Also on the bill is the excellent Barbara Crampton chiller SUN CHOKE (check out our interview with Barbara here), the creature feature BAD BLOOD, 80s styled horror flick THE BARN, sci-fi thriller CORD, the Spanish remake of Jose Larraz’s VAMPYRES and many more.

Check out the entire lineup and get your advance tix by going to the official LEFT website.

All tickets are only $10 when you buy online. Single tickets ranging from $11
(Multi-film purchase) to $12 (Regular Single Film Tickets) will be available to all screenings in person at the venue
beginning Aug 5.
See you at the fest!
