The Gallows: New Images from High School Horror

This summer, high school horror The Gallows would like you to follow a group of students around dark corridors at night until spooky things happen and nooses fall around their necks. In The Gallows, “Twenty years after an accident caused the death of the lead actor during a high school play, students at the same small town school resurrect the failed stage production in a misguided attempt to honor the anniversary of the tragedy—but ultimately find out that some things are better left alone.”

I like the idea of The Gallows, because as this bounty of still images and its trailer points toward, it isn’t simply a spectral student wandering sadly. The Gallows seems to be a proper supernatural slasher and Charlie has a bit of an urban legend hook about him. Is found footage the best way to tell such a story? We’ll find out July 10^th.
