First Photos: Final Paranormal Activity, The Ghost Dimension

This October brings Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. It’s the sixth enrty in the series and officially the fifth Paranormal Activity film proper (Marked Ones was considered a spin-off). It’s also the final one. In anticipation of its trailer debut tomorrow, the first photos from the sequel have arrived. Answers are teased and questions (like, “how about that title?”) are raised.

Just what is the scope of Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, as we consider the final moments of Marked Ones and below, we see a young girl staring off into a void in the wall, we’re well beyond the intimacy of Katie, Micah and being dragged violently out of bed. While Shock’s talk with producer Jason Blum will hit tomorrow, he tells USA Today, “We couldn’t go just teasing. All the questions that everyone has asked from the past Paranormal Activity films: What does Toby look like? What’s the backstory to the families? These questions have been teased out. Now they will be answered.”

The upcoming 3D film focuses on a family who discover a video camera and box of tapes in their new garage. “When they look through the camera’s lens, they begin to see the paranormal activity happening around them — including the re-emergence of young Kristi and Katie.” Are they seeing ‘The Ghost Dimension,’ then? Or is that where this young Leila is staring off into? Will they address the expensive fork from Paranormal 4? Most importantly, how will the massive gathering of witches play into this?

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is directed by Gregory Plotkin. The film is in theaters October 23rd. Find the new photos below, and look out for our Shock Q&A and the trailer for the film, tomorrow.
