Exclusive: Eerie Clip from Sci-fi Thriller, The Reconstruction of William Zero

Out this week is The Reconstruction of William Zero, an intimate sci-fi creeper from Dan Bush, one of the three directors behind beloved horror feature The Signal. Shock Till You Drop presents an exclusive look at the film, an eerie of doppelganger life coaching.

In The Reconstruction of William Zero, William Blakely (Conal Byrne), a top genetic researcher, awakens after a catastrophic accident with no memory or motor skills. As he begins to relearn his past and identity with the help of his mysterious twin brother, the memories that return are not his own. As he tries to reconnect with his estranged wife Jules (Amy Seimetz), he begins to unravel the strange circumstances surrounding the events that led him to fall into a coma. Searching for the source of these fragmented memories, he uncovers a shocking truth about his family and employers.

The below clip, which this “mysterious twin brother” attempts to help William recall his life has creepy connotations, an atmosphere of watching yourself coach and guide you through your own life at a distance. It’s a heavy little piece that hopefully anticipates a strong film in the growing ranks of stellar, contemporary independent sci-fi.

FilmBuff releases The Reconstruction of William Zero this Friday, April 10th in theaters and on VOD.
