Backtrack Trailer: Haunted by a Former Nazi Life

UK indie Backtrack, in which a man finds out his past life was lived as a Nazi—and is far more than haunted by it—hits the U.S. this May. Find the grisly trailer, below.

Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment has announced a May 5th release for Backtrack, now titled Backtrack: Nazi Regression through Blinkbox and Amazon Prime. In the fairly grim looking film, “when 26-year old Ralph has recurring nightmares in German, he enlists the help of his psychic friend Claudia, to help unravel their meaning. She gives him a profound past-life regression, which floods his mind with memories of being a Nazi commando on a mission on the South Downs in 1940. In the hope of piecing together his previous life, Ralph, Claudia and two friends, go on a trip to the locations he saw in his regression. But what none of them realize is that the past Ralph is trying to find is now stalking them, and it plans to exact a terrible revenge on them for crimes committed nearly seventy years ago.”

Backtrack has a bloody vibe. Though the former life flashbacks have a Vaseline-soft gloss, the clearly low budget production is also looks informed by a focus on severe violence. Will this be a scuzzy affair?
