Trailer: More Halloween Horror Coming from The Barn

Trendspotting 2015: Witches, Sleep Paralysis and All Hallow’s Eve. How exciting that independently, up-and-comers, old favorites and a massive group of like-minded horrorhounds are seemingly fed up with the lack of contemporary Halloween standards. Bruce McDonald just premiered the nightmare logic, infrared-lensed Hellions at Sundance. The October Society (Darren Lynn Bousman, Axelle Carolyn, Neil Marshall, Lucky McKee, Mike Mendez and more) are readying their ten-segment anthology Tales of Halloween for the fall, and director Justin Seaman has just premiered a throwback-ish trailer for late 80s period piece, The Barn

In The Barn, “It’s Halloween 1989, best friends Sam and Josh are trying to enjoy what’s left of their final Devil’s Night before graduating high school. But trouble arises when the two pals and a group of friends take a detour on their way to a rock concert, finding an old, abandoned barn and awakening the evil inside. Now it’s up to Sam and Josh to find a way to protect their friends and defeat the creatures that lurk within.”

The Barn also boasts terrific art from Marc Schoenbach, who has a history of killer, retro work. The Barn is expected this October. For more, visit Nevermore Productions.
