The funniest horror-comedy in ages is finally coming out. This Friday, Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s vampire mock-doc What We Do in the Shadows hits theaters. It’s a tremendously funny film, one that’s at once witty and clever in its quips and utterly silly in its physical hilarity. Often just as funny is listening to co-creators, co-directors and co-stars Clement and Waititi discuss the film and their rich, vampiric characters. They’ll be doing so Wednesday, February 11th at one of the Apple Store Soho’s regular Meet the Filmmakers Q&A’s. I’m lucky enough to be moderating and you can reserve a spot, below.

Presented by the New Zealand Documentary Board, What We Do in the Shadows “chronicles the adventures of four vampire roommates trying to get by in a modern world that’s not always hospitable to the undead. Clement and Waititi co-wrote, co-directed, and co-star in this hilarious send-up in which an endearingly unhip quartet of friends reveal to us or, rather, to the documentary crew that’s filming them, the details of their daily-make that nightly-routine. Ranging in age from 183 to 8,000, and in appearance from adorably youthful to Nosferatu-crusty, they squabble over household chores, struggle to keep up with the latest trends in technology and fashion, antagonize the local werewolves, cruise clubs for lovely ladies, and deal with the rigors of living on a very, very strict diet.”

The Q&A with Clement & Waititi gets underway at 7 p.m. at the Apple Store Soho (103 Prince St. Corner of Prince & Greene). Make a reservation at Apple.com/Soho and find the film’s trailer, below. What We Do in the Shadows is out February 13th
