Trailer: EDM Keeps a Killer Contained in Enter the Dangerous Mind

Previously titled Snap, Enter the Dangerous Mind (or EDM) concerns a troubled young musician who drowns out his violent impulses with the pulsating music he makes. This being a thriller, it might not be enough.

Starring Jake Hoffman, Nikki Reed and Thomas Dekker, the film directed by Youseff Delara and Victor Teran “enters the mind of Jim, a socially awkward EDM musician with a traumatic past, a tenuous grip on reality, and voices in his head. When he meets Wendy (Reed), he thinks he might finally have a shot at happiness. But as long-buried memories begin to stir, and his crush turns into obsession, Jim finds himself looking into a violent abyss… and he won’t be going alone.”

I caught the film, then under the Snap title at SXSW. Though it’s been awhile, I certainly remember a nastiness to it, with the propulsive score and conceit adding a nice layer to familiar psychological thriller. Variance Films releases Enter the Dangerous Mind on February 6th. [iTunes]v
