The Conjuring 2 Moves out of 2015, Mystery Horror Film Fills Slot

file_171085_0_conjuring-tease(1)Ed and Lorraine Warren will be back for another supernatural mystery. You’ll just have to wait a bit longer for that to happen. The Conjuring 2 was originally slated to open on October 23, 2015. That is changing, however.

The sequel to 2013’s smash hit – starring Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson – will arrive sometime in 2016 now.

Warner Bros. and New Line are filling that October 23rd slot with another horror film that has not yet been revealed.

Will the shift to 2016 make it more inviting for James Wan to perhaps return to the director’s chair? I know fans of the first film would love to see that happen. If Wan declines, maybe Annabelle helmer John Leonetti will take the reins?

On such a low budget, Annabelle has proven to be a big hit grossing an estimated $166 million worldwide.
