Shock received word that the supernatural thriller Altergeist is specifically hitting DirectTV only on October 9th. Earlier this year, the film tried a “demand it” campaign to bring the film to theaters, but I did not hear whether that was a success or not. I’m not sure why this film is having a hard time getting a proper distribution. It’s pretty slick and comes across like a Dark Castle film (akin to Thirteen Ghosts or The House on Haunted Hill).
Directed by Tedi Sarafian, Altergeist stars Kristina Anapau (True Blood), Brendan Fletcher (Freddy vs. Jason) and Sarah Oh. You can check out a trailer here.
