On August 23, Screen Gems is bringing The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones to theaters and today we’ve got a first look at a new photo of Jace, played by Jamie Campbell Bower. Check it out after the jump!
Also starring Lily Collins, Robert Sheehan, Kevin Zegers, Lena Headey, Kevin Durand, Aidan Turner, Jemima West, Godfrey Gao, CCH Pounder, Jared Harris and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, the film is directed by Harald Zwart and based on the first book in Cassandra Clare’s book series.
In the film, set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother (Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures.
