The latest project from Tom Shankland – the director of 2008’s excellent killer kid flick The Children – has found its financing and is on track to begin shooting shortly after the start of 2013.
Variety reports Shankland will helm Dark Corners, a Wait Until Dark-esque thriller about “a beautiful blind college student who is tormented by a methodical killer who knows her well. She fights back by using her apparent weakness to her advantage.”
On the producing end of things, we have a friendly face in Peter Block, top dog at FEARnet and the producer of Frozen. E.L. Katz and Tim Day penned the script.
Solar Pictures is overseeing the production.
