Producer Unleashes Zombies, Pairs Richard Stanley, Nacho Cerda for I Am Legion

The first being I Am Legion, a directing vehicle for Nacho Cerda (Aftermath, Abandoned) based on the comic book by Fabien Nury and John Cassaday.

French publisher Humanoids released the comic which was picked up in the U.S. by Devil’s Due.  The synopsis goes like this: While the outcome of the war is in doubt, the Nazis frantically search for Ana, a girl with the ability to possess other bodies.

Richard Stanley is attached to write the script.

Spengler is also developing another Humanoids title for the screen: The Zombies That Ate the World for director Erik Canuel and writer Michael McKenzie.

That one goes like this: In a world where humans have to live with the living dead, a new job opportunity is born: zombie catcher. Karl Neard, his sister Maggie and his Belgian friend Freddy Merckx embrace this career in hopes of making easy money. Unfortunately, the job isn’t that simple: not only are zombies dead bodies walking, but they also have a terrible scent and an awful sense of humor. As a matter of fact, zombies just don’t care about anything, for their lives are behind them and they have an eternity to enjoy. This is how Karl and his team end up attracting all sorts of freaks in 2064 Los Angeles.
