Variety reports Saved! director Brian Dannelly will helm Suckers for Alcon Entertainment. The film is a spin on the vampire sub-genre written by Adrian Vina.
According to the outlet, the story centers on a teen in a new school who tries to build a rep and become popular by telling his fellow classmates he is a vampire. The kid winds up in hot water when he is accused of murder.
Alcon is also behind the upcoming Oren Peli-produced Chernobyl Diaries.
