Production begins a week from today on The Colony, a sci-i thriller by Jeff Renfro. Lawrence Fishburne (Predators) and Kevin Zegers (Wrong Turn) are in talks to lead the cast.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is set during a new Ice Age where survivors are forced to fend off an army of feral cannibals.
Shooting begins in late March based on a script penned by Renfro, Patrick Tarr, Pascal Trottier and Svet Rouskov. The film is budgeted at $16 million, however, THR is describing it as an “indie” project.
