The Evil Dead redo is adding one more to the cast. According to Variety, Lou Taylor Pucci is in talks to join the film.
He’ll play an “intense academic whose intellectual curiosity gets him and his friends into trouble.” Pucci previously starred in Carriers, Horseman and Thumbsucker.
Pucci will join Jane Levy who plays Mia, a young woman trying to kick a drug addiction. Her friends take her to a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead. An archaeologist’s tape recording reveals that the ancient text was discovered among the Khandarian ruins of a Sumerian civilization.
Fede Alvarez is directing the remake of Sam Raimi’s original film. Shooting begins soon in New Zealand.
