Deadline reports that Whannell is going to be writing a follow-up to last year’s horror hit. James Wan, who is presently prepping the tentatively-titled The Conjuring, starring Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson for New Line, is in talks to return as director as well.
The Hollywood Reporter states Insidious 2 may go into production this year for a 2013 release.
There is a lot up in there air regarding returning cast members, what the story is about, etc. Consider the film in early development for right now.
