Shaw previously starred in The Hills Have Eyes remake and Stag Night. Here, she’ll play a pregnant woman who ventures to a remote island for a holiday excursion and has her plans spoiled by evil, possessed children.
This isn’t the first time Who Can Kill a Child? has tried to be remade, however.
In 2008, Gold Circle Films was developing In the Playground, a separate redo of the 1976 film, which was to be a directing vehicle for David Alcade. The project never got off of the ground.
The original Who Can Kill a Child? was directed by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador and concerned murderous children living on a Spanish island who prey on English tourists.
