Jan de Bont Will Remake Five Minutes to Live, AKA Door-to-Door Maniac

The new version of the story has been written by Raul Inglis, who recently wrote the Dolph Lundgren action thriller Icarus (released on home video as The Killing Machine).

De Bont, who made his career as a cinematographer for films like Die Hard and The Hunt for Red October, also directed blockbusters like Speed, Twister and The Haunting. It’s been more than a decade since his last big-screen film as a director, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.

Five Minutes to Live will be produced by Joseph and Jack Nasser.
