James Wan has found his two lead cast members for The Conjuring, the new supernatural thriller we first told you about back in December.
The picture will find Wan reuniting with his Insidious star, Patrick Wilson, and Vera Farmiga (The Departed, Orphan). Contrary to our previous report, however, this is doesn’t appear to be the “life story” of Ed and Lorraine Warren. Instead, this is about one of the many supernatural cases they investigated: The true story of the Perron family.
In the 1970s, the Perrons lived in a Rhode Island that was claimed to have been a portal for friendly and evil spirits. This account was the subject of a book entitled House of Darkness, House of Light: The True Story by Andrea Perron.
Chad and Carey Hayes penned the script which was originally set up in 2009 at Summit Entertainment. The project is now set up at New Line. The Hayes brothers penned House of Wax, The Reaping and Whiteout.
