Steven Sheil of the UK horror shocker Mum & Dad is nearing the end of his latest production Dead Mine. But Sheil isn’t on home soil for this one. Instead, he’s working with HBO Asia and shooting in Indonesia.
The story involves a rich amateur treasure hunter and his expert group deep into the Indonesian jungle on the hunt for Yamashita’s Gold. Once they find themselves trapped in what is seemingly an abandoned WWII Japanese bunker they face the terrifying reality that the only way out is further in.
Presentally, only an Asian distribution roll-out is being planned, however, we’ll keep you posted if the film gets a domestic release.
