Amidst the squawking from those who don’t like the direction Paul W.S. Anderson’s Resident Evil films are taking, a pair of filmmakers have stepped up to create a fan-made web series called Resident Evil: The First Hour. Part one launched last week on Machinima to, no surprise, a divisive reaction from the horror community. Now, part two is here.
A prequel to the hit video game Resident Evil 2, directed by April Choi and Ross Peacock, the story follows Leon Kennedy as he and two other police officers find themselves trapped on a farm outside Raccoon City, fighting for their lives against an undead horde.
The synopsis to episode two breaks down like this: Have the cannibal murders returned to Raccoon City? That may be the case for Leon Kennedy, Richard and Philip as they find themselves trapped alone and at the mercy of a flesh hungry undead horde.
