Voodoo Vacation Fun Conjured Up in Spell

One of the production outfits behind The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) and The Amityville Horror remake is delving into an original horror film entitled Spell.  And it sounds a bit like a deadly take on The Hangover.

According to Variety, the Spell “centers on a young couple who wake up with no memory of the first night of their tropical vacation. As they piece together the events of the night before, they discover they were the victims of a sadistic voodoo ritual, spurring a desperate quest for a cure for the horrific illness now afflicting them.”

Radar Pictures hopped aboard the project and will produce Ari Margolis and James Morley III’s script.  They’re currently also at work on directing a new thriller called The Dead of Winter.
