Predators, when it opened in 2010, left the door pretty wide open for a sequel. And when producer Robert Rodriguez and director Nimrod Antal did press for the film the summer of its release, the two said a sequel was certainly possible.
Here we are in late 2011 and we haven’t heard a peep, so what’s up? Robert Rodriguez told the Playlist, “I haven’t talked to them [Fox] in a while. I know they liked the idea of doing another one. I should probably call and check in. I’ve just been busy doing these other things.”
Clearly, the man is in no rush to knock one out. Predators only grossed $52 million domestically; worldwide it made just over $150 million, so will Fox think it’s worth doing another one? And, what would you call it? Predators 2? More Predators?
