Currently in post-production on Dark Shadows, Tim Burton is looking to future projects.
Deadline says one he might attach himself to is an adaptation of “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.” Rights to the novel were picked up by 20th Century Fox.
Written by Ransom Riggs, the film tells of a man who revisits an orphanage on a remote island that once housed children with special abilities. Now, abandoned, the orphanage is in disrepair, however, this man suspects the children – who may have been put in the home because they were dangerous – might still be around.
Burton is also overseeing the completion of Frankenweenie. We’ll keep you posted if he solidifies his commitment to “Peregrine’s.”
