EXCL: The FX Team & “Lex” Talk Jurassic Park

Trilogy makes its way to Blu-ray this month

Back in ’93, my mind was blown. Jurassic Park, a film I followed avidly through production – which was tough because the Internet film sites were non-existent – roared on the big screen. Needless to say, I was a mess with emotion. Okay, so it wasn’t quite the book, but Spielberg was back in prime form…and the dinosaurs were (and still are) spectacular.

That film, and its subsequent sequels (say what you will about them), is hitting Blu-ray for the first time from Universal Home Video. This month, the studio roped in the series’ Ariana Richards (who played “Lex,” she’s all growns up!) and FX heavyweights Dennis Muren (Industrial Light & Magic), Phil Tippett (Tippett Studio) and John Rosengrant (Legacy Effects, formerly Stan Winston Studio) to look back on the franchise and we sent our friend, and ultimate fan-girl, Jenna Busch to talk with them.
