Warner Bros. is targeting a Summer 2012 start
Cloverfield and Let Me In director Matt Reeves, who was not part of the recent frontrunner list published by Variety, has been chosen by Warner Bros. Pictures to direct The Twilight Zone, reports Deadline.
Jason Rothenberg wrote the script for the thriller based on the classic Rod Serling TV series. Appian Way partners Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran will produce with Michael Ireland, while Matt Cherniss will executive produce.
The site describes this new “Twilight Zone” as a “big science fiction action movie with a single freestanding story.” The studio is targeting a Summer 2012 start for the filming.
Reeves is also attached to direct This Dark Endeavor for Summit Entertainment, The Passage for Fox 2000, and Eight O’Clock in the Morning for Universal.
