You’ll Have to Wait a Bit Longer to See Piranha 3DD

And that new Amityville movie, too

If you follow our Twitter feed, I speculated Dimension Films would not meet its January 27, 2012 release date for The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes.

Although we had posted, and subsequently removed, some casting breakdowns for the film about a month or so back, we heard principal photography has not even begun. So, it comes as no surprise that Dimension has removed the film from its January release date. Currently, it’s simply scheduled for sometime in 2012.

Here’s the news some of you out there will really not like.

Piranha 3DD has been pulled from its November 23 slot. It, also, is now scheduled for sometime in 2012. No replacement date has been announced.

The sequel, directed by John Gulager, stars a massive cast: Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Meagan Tandy, Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, Clu Gulager, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd and Paul Scheer.

And while the Facebook and Twitter pages for the film have been busy keeping fans interested in this title, everyone was wondering when official poster art was going to be released (a fan-made one had many sites fooled recently) or even a trailer.
