A mini-update on the submarine thriller Phantom.
To the left there is a look at some early teaser art from K5 International. Last week, we reported the film, directed by Todd Robinson, found its financing and production will now be moving forward with cast members William Fichtner, Andy Garcia, Ed Harris and Natascha McElhone.
Original plot details said it was about a something that takes control of a submarine. We’re told there are major supernatural overtones, however, the plot crunch from K5 makes it sound like a straight-up The Hunt for Red October flick.
When Soviet submarine B756 goes missing in the Pacific Ocean during a major US Navy exercise even Soviet Naval Headquarters isnât certain whether the sub is embarked on a mission so secret that they donât know about it or whether it has gone rogue.
Again, the supernatural plays into this…somehow.
