Arriving this fall at Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal Studios Hollywood has just announced a new Scream-based ride as part of their “Halloween Horror Nights”.
Dubbed “Terror Tram: Scream 4 Your Life”, the experience will aim to replicate Scream 4‘s “movie-within-a-movie” theme, unleashing Ghostface on the studio backlot, introducing guests to the fictional Stab slasher film franchise and offering them a chance to take a peek at Stab 8, said to be âshooting on location on the backlot.â Details from the official press release are as follows:
âTerror Tram: Scream 4 Your Lifeâ casts guests as victims in this living horror film and elevates the âHalloween Horror Nightsâ experience to astounding new levels of blood-curdling realism.
To create the ultimate âHalloween Horror Nightsâ nightmare, Universal Studios Hollywood assembled a horror âdream teamâ of filmmakers and stars who are serving as creative consultants to Universalâs Creative Director, John Murdy. The team includes director, writer, producer and actor Eli Roth, who will present the new maze, âEli Rothâs Hostel: Hunting Season,â the legendary rocker Alice Cooper, who will present âAlice Cooper: Welcome to My Nightmare,â and multi-platinum recording artist and filmmaker Rob Zombie who returns with âRob Zombieâs House of 1000 Corpses: In 3D ZombieVision.â âThe Thing: Assimilation,â inspired by Universal Picturesâ upcoming thriller, will add to the Hollywood horror clout.
âHalloween Horror Nightsâ 2011 will bring unprecedented star power to an array of unrivaled, film production quality mazes uniquely themed to todayâs most definitive horror properties and deliver the most compelling, spine-chilling, haunted attractions. All-new terror filled âscare zones,â original shows and the popular âTerror Tram: Scream 4 Your Lifeâ will be among the âHalloween Horror Nightsâ offerings.
The theme parkâs favorite thrill-ride attractions will also remain open for âHalloween Horror Nights,â one with a menacing twist. âJurassic Park® In the Darkâ makes its seasonal debut, while guests can still enjoy favorites like âThe Simpsons RideTMâ and âRevenge of the MummySM â The Ride.â
