Season four premiere a huge hit
Shortly before True Blood premiered the first episode of its fourth season, it was revealed Scott Foley was joining the cast. Albeit for the season’s final episode.
Should the show return for a fifth season (and that’s looking likely), Foley’s character will expand. But who will he play? Tom Ausiello at TV Line got the scoop and writes:
“He was Terryâs platoon leader in Iraq,” says Ball of Foleyâs character, Patrick. “So they [share] a military history.” (Rumor has it Terry saved Patrickâs life not once but twice.) Foley will debut in the Season 4 finale and then recur throughout Season 5. Ball, meanwhile, confirms that a deal is not yet in place for him to return as showrunner for a fifth season. “Iâm negotiating,” he says. Of course, HBO hasnât renewed the show itself â but Ball isnât worried. “There are no plans for this show to end,” he assures. “Iâm pretty sure there will be at least one more season, if not more. It seems like it has a lot of life in it still.”
The premiere of season four attracted 5.4 million viewers.
