Jordan in talks to direct latter project
Number 9 Films will adapt, “Dan Leno and the Limehouse Golem” by Peter Ackroyd.
On screenwriting duties: Jane Goldman of Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class.
Set in 19th century London, the tale concerns two individuals, Dan Leno, a Victorian English music hall comedian, and a serial killer who was given the moniker Limehouse Golem.
Number 9, according to Variety, is also at work on Byzantium which might see director Neil Jordan (Interview With the Vampire) returning to bloodsucker territory.
That film is about two women “who claim to be vampire siblings.”
