Bertino staying close to the project
About a year ago, I asked “where is The Strangers Part 2?, the sequel that seemed to have developed some momentum after The Strangers opened in 2008, but then quietly disappeared.
Our own anonymous sources who have kept us in the loop on the project’s development, as well as Bloody-Disgusting‘s people, tell us 2011 may be the year The Strangers: Part 2 gets rolling.
Laurent Briet is directing from a script by Bertino. You can read more about the story in this previous write-up. Essentially, the terror that unfolds this time takes place in a seemingly deserted trailer park.
Our source says that even though a new director is at the helm, Bertino is very much going to be involved. Casting and location scouting is underway, although a start date has not been determined.
