True Blood meets…?
In the latest edition of Entertainment Weekly, Pushing Daisies‘ Bryan Fuller talked further about his plans to bring The Munsters back to television (which were announced here).
He describes it as a mash-up of Modern Family and True Blood. “For example,” he tells the magazine, “the story begins when young Eddie unexpectedly manifests as a werewolf on a scout camping trip and inadvertently eats two of his fellow scouts.”
So, expect it to get a bit edgy. Fuller also says the role of Marilyn, the “normal” one of the Munsters family, will play a larger part in the series. He believes Kristen Bell would be perfect for the part, but that’s not to say she’s a lock for the series.
