Early details on urban legend flick
It’s an urban legend stew in Joker Films’ Beware.
Writer-director Jason Daly is now in post-production on this thriller starring Lorena King, Victor Gonzalez, Cecilia Huete and Adam Leadbeater.
The story is set against the backdrop of small town Shady Grove where the legend of “Shane”, a boy who was tortured and chained to a tree as a youngster, spooks the locals. Damaged and broken, he wanders those woods in search of blood, with his trademark chain fused to his wrist. Despite years of tales and urban myths, no proof of his existence has ever been discovered, until five unsuspecting teens reveal the truth on an ill-fated trip.
Joker Films, based in Canada, has Suck on the way and was behind the Steve Austin actioner The Stranger.
