What’s the rating?
After facing the MPAA on more than a number of occasions, the I Spit on Your Grave remake has received a rating.
Normally, MPAA ratings stories are lame sauce and we’ve refrained from running them, however, in the case of a film like this – in which the original film is notorious – we thought we’d keep you in the loop.
Director Steven Monroe’s update has ultimately received an R “for pervasive strong sadistic brutal violence, rape and torture, nudity and language.” As Anchor Bay hopes to usher this one into theaters later this year, an “R” is best-suited for their release strategy. That doesn’t rule out an unrated cut when it hits DVD.
