Somewhere after Green Lantern and his various other commitments, Ryan Reynolds is going to star in R.I.P.D., based on the comic book.
Neil Moritz – of the Fast and the Furious franchise – is going to produce for director David Dobkin and Universal. Considering I’ve always thought Reynolds would be ideal for a Dead Heat remake, I guess this will have to do. After all, the storyline sounds close enough: In R.I.P.D., Reynolds would play a cop who is murdered and returns from the dead to find his killer.
Mortiz tells Collider shooting may begin in January.
