And, details on a vampiric feast
Marco Ristori and Luca Boni have debuted the teaser trailer for their Italian zombie epic Eaters. Shepherding the project? None other than Uwe Boll (House of the Dead). Boll’s involvement, however, may be nothing more than positive support because he’s not listed as a producer, but he takes a “Uwe Boll presents” card. David Bracci, Filippo Corradin, Paco Ferrari, Ristori and Boni wear the producer hats here while Alex Lucchesi and Guglielmo Favilla star as two survivors trekking across a post-apocalyptic land riddled with zombies. The teaser you see below is just a warm up to the start of principal photography which begins this June.
Meanwhile, details are in on the direct-to-DVD Feast of the Vampires. Director Jay Burleson says his effort “has an old school VHS look and is very campy/fun.”
Synopsis: The dinner table is set, but the main course is sitting amongst the living dead! Jay Burleson writes and directs this Southern comedy/horror spoof of Vampire flicks that replaces the castle with a plantation, and Dracula with Duke Wolfgang Moonlight.
When Scotty (Joseph Ray) tries to track down his missing friend in a farming town plagued with a vampire curse, he enlists the help of beautiful Autumn (Aly Sutton) and the wacky vampire professor Orson Corman (Bob Dellaposta), but things get out of hand when they sneak into the plantation of Duke Wolfgang Moonlight (Kevin Wright) and become trapped as darkness falls. Will they be able to outwit the Duke and his assistant Gus (Jeff S. Anderson), or will they too become creatures of the night?
Get a look at the film below. The DVD ships on February 9, for more details visit FeastoftheVampires.net.
