When will production begin?
Ivan Reitman confirmed to MTV that he will return to direct Ghostbusters 3.
Reitman said that screenwriters Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky had turned in a first draft of the script and are working on a second draft right now. “Good work is being done and all of us have our fingers crossed… There’s some very cool things in the new draft,” he said.
The first two Ghostbusters entries rolled out under Reitman’s direction so his involvement in the director’s chair should keep the purists happy, however, those remember his last two features, My Super Ex-Girlfriend and Evolution, might want to see some fresh blood behind the camera.
Reitman added shooting should begin in the next year.
