Casting has officially begun
When Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire came to an end, fans had to make due with “Fray” (a futuristic take on a slayer) and “Buffy” season eight, both released through Dark Horse Comics. There doesn’t seem to be any hope for a feature film based on the successful television show (although the producers of the original movie with Kristy Swanson want to do a reboot). So where is the future of the Slayer heading now?

Sci Fi Wire received word that casting has begun for vocal actors to participate. It appears the series will pick up after the comic books and will see the return of a number of characters including Faith (Eliza Dushku won’t be back, but casting director Jeff Shuter is seeking someone like her).
