Dead Snow director helming
The Hollywood Reporter says that Dante Harper has been hired to write the script for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. Dead Snow co-writer/director Tommy Wirkola is helming the project for Gary Sanchez Prods. and Paramount.
The story picks up 15 years after the fairy-tale siblings traumatic gingerbread house incident, which provokes them to become witch bounty hunters.
Sanchez execs Kevin Messick, Adam McKay, Will Ferrell and Chris Henchy are producing the horror-action comedy, which is said to have a gory-but-funny Shaun of the Dead vibe to it. (Makes sense if you’ve seen Dead Snow.) More details when we hear ’em.
