Groundhog day for Gyllenhaal
According to Variety, the script for the film was originally housed at Universal with director Shane Abbess and Topher Grace set to star. Now it’s at Summit Entertainment with the Gyllenhaal/Jones team-up. Ben Ripley scripted, however, Billy Ray has done revisions.
Gyllenhaal will play “a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown commuter and is forced to live and relive a harrowing train bombing until he can determine who is responsible for it.”
So, there’s a fare share of sci-fi in this one.
