Splinter Next for Wilkins

Director of Grudge short films

A “virus monster” is set loose on a remote gas station in Splinter, a feature debut for director Toby Wilkins who previously helmed the “Tales of the Grudge” shorts for Ghost House Pictures when The Grudge 2 came out.

Wilkins also has an extensive background in FX with a resume that includes James Cameron’s Ghosts of the Abyss and Red Dragon. Written by Berry and Ian Shorr, Splinter tells of a creature who inhabits his victims, contorts their bodies to fit its needs and drives them into a “bloodlust.” Wilkins will shoot the film this summer and ContentFilm Intl. has already picked up the international rights.
